According to IDEA, public school systems must consult with parents of parentally-placed private school and home school students along with representatives of private schools regarding the provision of special education and related services within the school system’s jurisdiction.
This meeting is held each school year in the fall and spring. Please check the district website further information.

Special Education is a service which supports children 3-21 years of age who meet eligibility guidelines in the following areas: Autism, Deaf/Blind, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Emotional and Behavioral Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impaired, Significant Developmentally Delayed, Specific Learning Disability, Speech/Language Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Visual Impairment and Blindness.
Special Education services are provided in all school systems in Georgia and are free of charge to parents. Hall County Schools is dedicated to providing quality instructional support to students with disabling conditions.
