Kristi House Selected as Principal for South Hall Middle
Superintendent Will Schofield announced today his intent to recommend Kristi House as the next Principal of South Hall Middle School. The recommendation will be made at the Monday, December 9, 2024 board meeting. House, the current Associate Principal, will take the place of Principal Joey Millwood, who will transition full-time to the district position of Director of Student Services.
“Taking on the role of Principal at South Hall Middle School is both an honor and a privilege,” said House. “South Hall Middle is a place where every student’s potential is nurtured, and the sense of community is felt in every hallway. I’m excited to contribute to a legacy of growth, compassion, and learning, and to serve alongside such a dedicated team.”
House was a teacher and longtime basketball coach at Johnson High School (1999-2001) and North Hall High School (2001-2022) before assuming the role of Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at South Hall in 2022. In May of 2024, she was promoted to Associate principal when Principal Joey Millwood began the transition to Director of Student Services.
“Kristi House brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her new role as principal of South Hall Middle School,” said Superintendent Will Schofield. “As an outstanding instructional leader, Kristi has demonstrated a deep commitment to academic excellence and creating opportunities for student success. Her ability to build meaningful relationships–whether in the classroom or on the basketball court–has consistently made a positive impact on students and staff alike. Kristi has been instrumental in fostering a culture of community and unity everywhere she has served, and I have every confidence she will continue to carry on the standard of excellence that is so deeply engrained at South Hall Middle School. The students and staff are in great hands under her leadership.”
House holds a B. S. in Education from the State University of West Georgia, a Master’s in Education from the University of Georgia, and an Ed. S. from Lincoln Memorial University.
