Hall County 2024 AP School Honor Roll and 2024 AP Access Awards
The Hall County School District is proud to announce our high schools that have been named to the 2024 AP School Honor Roll and those schools named recipients of the 2024 AP Access Award. The 2024 AP School Honor Roll recognitions and 2024 AP Access Awards are based on May 2024 AP Exam test data. Congratulations to our students, teachers, and administrators!
Trevor Packer, Head of AP and Instruction at the College Board, stated, “The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success.”
AP exams are administered by the College Board. AP courses are one way students can access college-level rigor at the high school level; students who receive a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP exam are eligible to receive college credit.
Hall County Schools recognized on the 2024 AP School Honor Roll and as 2024 AP Access Award recipients are listed in the table below.
School | 2024 Honor Roll Recognition | 2024 AP Access Award |
Cherokee Bluff High School | Bronze | Earned |
Chestatee High School | Silver | Earned |
Flowery Branch High School | Bronze | Earned |
The 2024 AP School Honor Roll recognitions are based on the following criteria set by the College Board. Schools must meet or exceed the criteria for the respective recognition levels for all three categories of College Culture, College Credit, and College Optimization.
- College Culture: Percent of students in the graduating class who took an AP exam at any point in high school: Bronze is 40%; Silver is 50%
- College Credit: Percent of students in the graduating class who scored 3+ on any AP Exam in high school: Bronze is 25%; Silver is 30%
- College Optimization: Percent of students in the graduating class who took 5 or more AP Exams in high school, where at least 1 exam was taken in 9th or 10th grade: Bronze is 2%; Silver is 5%
The AP Access Award is an additional recognition given to schools whose data show that all students, including underrepresented populations, have access to participate in AP.
Congratulations to these outstanding students on their hard work and achievement.
